The Temp Low Skilled Workers category relates to the Immigration of Low Skilled Workers needed to fill specific temporary labour shortages.
Tier 3 of the Points Based system covers unskilled, temporary migration for employment that is largely seasonal in nature. It has been designed to replace the Seasonal Agricultural Workers Scheme (SAWS) and the Sectors Based Scheme (SBS) and will allow leave to enter the UK to migrants from countries with which an effective returns arrangement with the United Kingdom is in place.
The UK government feels that it can source employees from within the European Union to meet the fluctuating demands of employers that need unskilled, Seasonal Labour and will be used in circumstances where Migration Advisory Committee (MAC) identifies a shortage area which cannot be filled by the domestic workforce.
As with other point based system, visa, entry to the UK under a tier 3 visa will require a certificate of sponsorship as part of the application but will not constitute a route to settlement and will not provide you with an opportunity to apply for permanent residence in the UK.
